4.5.1 Drawing tools
1 Click
on the right edge of the control at the bottom of the screen.
The Drawing tools screen appears.

The figure at the bottom right of the
mark depends on the drawing mode selected in the "Drawing tools" screen.
2 On the Drawing tools screen, select the type of drawing marker.
The mouse pointer on the image data image changes to +.
3 Click Line width to select the line thickness.
4 Click Color to select the line color.
5 If you want to save the drawing without displaying the "Drawing annotation" screen, where you enter the marker's title and other information each time you draw, turn ON "Save drawing without annotation".
6 Draw a marker on the image data image with the mouse. (See "Drawing Methods and Drawing Examples" for drawing methods.)
After drawing, the [Drawing annotation] screen appears.
7 On the Drawing annotation screen, fill in the required fields and click the "Save" button.
Information about the drawn marker is displayed in the "Drawings" column on the right side of the screen.
In the "Drawings" column, you can edit or delete marker information.
4.5.2 Drawing Methods and Examples
The following is an example of how to draw and plot each marker.
(1) Freehand (line)
Drag the mouse from the start point to the end point to draw a freehand line
Measurements: Length from the start point to the end point
(2) polygon
Drag the mouse from the start point to the end point to draw the area
If the distance from the end point to the start point is far, the last edge will be drawn as a straight line.
Measurements: perimeter length and area
(3) square
Drag the mouse from the start point to the end point to draw the area
Measurements: length and width
(4) Circle
Drag the mouse to draw a circle with the start point as the center point and the end point as the radius
Measurements: Diameter
(5) point
Draws a point at the position clicked with the mouse (double-click to end drawing)
(6) measure
Drag the mouse from the start point to the end point to draw a straight line
Measurements: Displays the length from the start point to the end point.
(7) angle
Click on the second and third points to draw an angle with the first point as the center point.
Measurements: Angle
(8) arrow mark
Dragging the mouse from the start point to the end point draws an arrow
(9) Point Marker
Click to draw a Point marker
Point markers can also be drawn on the Point Marker Operation screen at the bottom right of the image data display screen.
